EXPERIENCE
Since joining Merrill Associates, Inc. in 2002, Mr. Bows has worked as a design engineer, and project manager for numerous residential subdivision projects, multi-unit residential projects, and commercial site plans. Responsibilities on these projects include: site layout, roadway design, drainage and septic system design, field investigation, and project coordination. Also included in a number of these projects is the preparation of Notices of Intent for compliance with the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, and a number of comprehensive drainage studies which evaluate the impact of proposed construction upon existing drainage conditions.

Prior to joining Merrill Associates, Inc. Mr. Bows acted as a project engineer on several engineering projects. As a project engineer, he was responsible for the design and preparation of plans and specifications for several commercial site plan projects, including a 100,000 square foot manufacturing plant, parking design, and a 175,000 gallons per day recharge facility; for Intel Corporation. He also was the project engineer for the civil portion of a feasibility study for locating a central heating plant for the University of Massachusetts, Amherst; and continued with the preparation of site plans, and a flood plain analysis for the heating plant project. He also completed several other site and drainage designs including the expansion of a large college in central Massachusetts, a retail development anchored by a home improvement retailer in Plymouth Massachusetts, and various other residential subdivision projects throughout Massachusetts.
