EXPERIENCE
President, Merrill Associates, Inc.

Since its founding in 1979, Mr. Merrill has served as principal engineer and president of Merrill Associates, Inc. During that time, the firm has been responsible for the preparation of numerous residential subdivisions, commercial and industrial site planning projects, and public and private road design projects throughout eastern Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.

Prior to 1979, Mr. Merrill acted as project engineer for a major engineering firm in Boston, and was in responsible charge of numerous URBAN SYSTEMS safety improvement and revitalization projects in communities throughout eastern Massachusetts. Projects required the projection of a comprehensive set of contract plans, specifications, and estimates for the reconstruction of roadways, traffic signal systems, drainage, and utilities.

Also during this period, Mr. Merrill served as design engineer for numerous interstate highway projects including the preparation of an engineering study and hydraulic report for replacement of the existing Route 116 bridge over the Connecticut River in Holyoke, MA; urban parking replacement studies and facilities design for several Massachusetts communities; hydrologic studies and final drainage design for the relocation of U.S. Route 302 and N.H. Route 10 in Lisbon, New Hampshire; and the reconstruction of Route 1-95 project from Rhode Island to North Attleboro.
