EXPERIENCE
Since joining Merrill Associates, Inc. in 1985, Mr. Palmieri has been project manager for numerous residential subdivision projects and commercial site plans. As project manager, he is responsible for site layout, roadway design, drainage system design, and overall project coordination. Also included in a number of these projects is the preparation of Notices of Intent for compliance with the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, and a number of comprehensive drainage studies which evaluate the impact of proposed construction upon existing drainage conditions.
Prior to joining Merrill Associates, Inc., Mr. Palmieri acted as project engineer on several civil engineering projects. As project engineer, he was responsible for the design and preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates for the drainage systems of several major highway projects, including the construction of 3.8 miles of state Route 146 in Uxbridge/Millville, MA, along with the relocation and culvert design for two major stream crossings; the reconstruction of 3.5 miles of 1-290 in Worcester, MA; and the reconstruction of twelve bridges, including two large viaducts on 1-93 (the Southeast Expressway), in Boston, MA. He was also responsible for the complete hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for seventeen flood insurance studies in central Massachusetts.
